Obituary of Josephine Plasencia

Josephine Plasencia, née Lupo, of Hopatcong, died Sunday, November 14, 2010, at Compassionate Care Hospice, Dover, after a short illness. She was 79. Born in New York, NY, she lived in Jackson Heights, Queens, New York, before moving to Hopatcong in 1967. A homemaker, and later, a claims examiner for Chubb Insurance in Parsippany, she was a member of the Hopatcong Seniors and the Lakeland Women's Club. Josephine enjoyed singing and cooking and was known for her animated persona and sense of humor. Josephine is the beloved mother of Regina Mercedes Walker of Hopatcong; dear sister of Thomas Fisichella of Hopatcong; and the loving grandmother of Samantha Star Budney. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a prayer service on Friday, November 19, 2010, at 11:00 AM at the Locust Hill Cemetery Mausoleum, Dover.
