Obituary of Hugh Michael Fennell

Hugh Michael Fennell died Tuesday October 5 at Merry Heart Care Center in Succasunna. He was 70 years old. Born in Montclair, Mr. Fennell resided in Morristown, TN prior to moving to the Succasunna section of Roxbury 3 years ago. He worked as a Lineman/repairman for NJ Bell/Verizon in Morristown, NJ prior to his retirement. He served in the US Army. Beloved father of Kelly J. Fennell & her husband Nicolas Pratt of Hopatcong and Hugh M. Fennell and his wife Cheri of Strong, ME. Dear brother of Thomas of Blairstown, Gerald of Ocean Pines, MD, Kathleen Laracy of Pt. Pleasant, Mary Ellen Gannon of Boonton, the late Norman Van Slovie and the late Eileen McGinn. Adoring grandfather of 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Also surviving is his ex-wife Jane Smakowitz of Hackettstown.
