Its been so long since I've seen Rick that I've had 2 children and a 4-yr old granddaughter in the meantime. Still, it hasn't been long enough for me to forget exactly what he looked like, what his voice sounded like, his great sense of humor and how much fun he was to be around. The world is missing out on a wonderful person. I'm so sorry for your loss, all of you... I'm so so sorry. I wish you all the strength to get through this. My prayers are with you. although I have not seen Rick in many years, but I have fond memories of being a kid at his home in Denville growing up. Swiming at the "big lake" he always looked after the little ones and made sure we were safe. he is loved

Rick, by coming into this world, you made me an Aunt at 7 yrs. old, before I really knew what that meant ... you were more like my baby brother ... and, especially in the early years, we shared many great times together. Our beloved nephew Rick,
I was there when you came in to the world and due to your Dad overseas serving our country, I had the opportunity at the age of 13 to be one of your surrogate fathers until he came home 11 months later. Partially because of this relationship, I had to be with you when your beautiful soul departed. I am in awe of your extraordinary courage and strength.
In between, it was a hell of a ride. As children, you and your brothers and sister provided such great joy to Aunt Sherry and me. We could write volumes on the things we did and shared. And when your fantastic family came one by one into the picture, the experiences just became better and better. It is an empty feeling when an important part of your life is suddenly not there. We have so many good memories of you the emptyness will go away. Our thoughts of you never will. We will miss you and love you always. Your beautiful smile, handsome face and softspoken voice will remain in our hearts and minds forever.
