Pattricia Egan

Obituary of Pattricia Egan

Pattricia Egan (GP), age 82 of Lake Hopatcong, NJ died Sunday, November 30, 2014 at home surrounded by her loving family. Patricia was born on March 3, 1932 in Brooklyn, NY. She was the daughter of Andrew and Annie (Cloherty) Judge, both of whom are deceased. A Technical Writer at Picatinny Arsenal for many years before she retired, Pattricia loved Irish culture and could often be heard singing an Irish ditty or two. A proud and vocal advocate for the "underdog", she was a strong supporter of all minorities and deeply opposed to discrimination of any kind. She had a "live and let live" spirit which was evidenced in her wish that each human would live long enough to do whatever one wanted, whenever one wanted, for as long as one wanted, with whomever one wanted as Pattricia herself had done in her retirement. Pattricia was pre-deceased by her husband, Harold. She is survived by sister Barbara Judge and brother Joe Judge, and her devoted children: Sharon Johansen & her husband Erik; Harold Egan & his wife Kim; Nadine Klindt & her husband Otto; Andrew Egan & his wife Valerie; Michele Egan & her wife Cindy Smyth. Additional survivors include her cherished grandchildren: Jessica & Wil Stuckey; Joe & Michele Egan; Jacob Egan; Jennifer & John McHugh; Ryann & Adam Secola; Nicole Klindt; Jennifer & Andrew Myrick; Terri & William Malone; Ed & JoAnn Klindt; Brandon Egan; Briana & George Waldie; Aaron Egan-Fry; and Angeline Egan-Fry; as well as her great-grandchildren: Amaelia, Eidolin, Estella Marie Grace, Riley, Christopher, Bailey-Rose, William, Alexandra, Allison & family and Lauren & family. Pattricia's life will be celebrated at a Memorial Service on Thursday December 4th at 11:00 am at the Lake Forest Yacht Club, 35 Yacht Club Drive, Lake Hopatcong, NJ. All funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home of Landing, NJ. In lieu of flowers, please consider a memorial donation to the charity of one's choice.
