Obituary of Harriet M. McConnell

Harriet Margaret (nee: Pruden) McConnell of the Belvidere section of White Township died Friday May 7, 2010 at Warren Hospital in Phillipsburg. She was 91. Born February 6, 1919 in Stanhope, she lived in Hopatcong and Stanhope (longtime resident) before moving to Belvidere 3 years ago. A homemaker, she was awarded Netcong/Stanhope Senior Citizen of the Year. She was a longtime active member of Christ Episcopal Church in Stanhope. She is predeceased by her husband of 67 years Edward N. McConnell (2007), her parents Robert H. and Nancy (nee: Agens) Pruden, a granddaughter Karen McConnell (1979), a son-in-law Russell J. Kantenwein (1989), her brothers Leslie, Robert J., Eugene P., Ralph A. and Edward J. Pruden and her sisters Mary M. Freeman and Thelma Whitehead. Devoted mother of Edward R. "Tinky" McConnell and his wife Patricia of Oxford and Patricia J. Kantenwein of Newton. Cherished grandmother of Edward A. McConnell and his wife Mary of Warwick, NY, Robert Kantenwein and his wife Susan of Stewartsville, David Kantenwein and his wife Paula of Woodstock GA, Sherry A. Fucci of Hopatcong and Delores J. O'Leary of Newport News, VA. Loving great grandmother of Caroline R. McConnell, Jonathan and James Folsom, John and Rachel Fucci, and Steven, Matthew, Zachary and Olivia Kantenwein.
