Obituary of Robert Kays
Robert (Bob) Kays passed away on April 13, 2014. He was 83.
He grew up in Verona and moved to Bloomfield in 1957. He lived in Mt. Arlington for 17 years and also enjoyed many summers at his home on Raccoon Island, Lake Hopatcong.
Bob proudly served as an Army Sergeant in Korea. He worked for 35 years in the Metal Lather's Union, Local 46, in NY. 7 of those years were spent building the World Trade Center.
He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed being a member of the Young at Heart group at Seasons Glen.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Norma (Dotterweich). He was the proud father of Robert Kays Jr. of Wantage and his wife Dr. Denise Autotte, and Kathy Juliano of Florham Park, and a devoted grandfather to Alexander Kays, and Tara and Patrick Juliano. He is also survived by his brothers Donald Kays of Pennsylvania and Thomas Kays of Missouri.
A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday April 16 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Church, One Park Avenue, Mt. Arlington, NJ.
