Obituary of Jack Liker

Jack Liker died Wednesday March 24 at Sunrise at Randolph Assisted Living Facility. He was 83. Born in New York City, Mr. Liker resided in Wayne prior to moving to the Lake Hopatcong section of Jefferson 30 years ago. He earned a Bachelor's degree in engineering from Bridgeport University in Bridgeport, CT. Mr. Liker served in the United States Army during WWII from 1944-46 and was stationed in Italy. He worked as a ceramic engineer and was CEO of Mykroy-Mycelex in Ledgewood and Clifton. He was a member and past president of both the Roxbury Rotary Club and the Ceramic Society at Rutgers University. Mr. Liker was also a member of the Lakeland Senior Club of Jefferson. Devoted husband of Henriette (Handel). Beloved father of Karin Frey and her husband Alan, Stephen Liker and Jeffrey Liker and his wife Deborah. Adoring grandfather of six and loving great grandfather of one. A memorial gathering will begin on Friday March 26 at 1:30 pm at the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing.
