Obituary of Eleanor Louise Ruotolo

Eleanor Louise Ruotolo, of Hopatcong, passed away on Saturday April 12 at her daughter's home in Hopatcong. She was 82. Born in Newark, NJ, Eleanor resided in Iselin and Cranford before moving to Hopatcong in 1954. She worked as an attendant at Marshall's in Ledgewood. Eleanor worked on the Hopatcong Election Board, loved feeding the birds and was a member of Hopatcong Fire Co. #4 Women's Auxiliary. In addition to her dedication to the town of Hopatcong, Eleanor enjoyed attending her grandson's hockey, tennis and soccer games and enjoyed trips to Wildwood, NJ and vacationing in Hawaii. Eleanor was known for speaking her mind and also worked alongside her daughter, Danelle at P.U.P.S. (Protecting Unborn PupS). Devoted mother of Ricky Ruotolo and wife, Nancy, Danny Ruotolo and wife, Patti and Danellé Ruotolo and husband David Thomson, adoring grandmother of Mitch and Greg Ruotolo and dearest sister of Doris Schoenleber. Also surviving are three step-grandchildren, Ronnie, Patrick and Lorraine and two great granddaughters, Megan and Leah. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Eleanor's Life Celebration on Wednesday April 16 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, Landing, NJ. A prayer service will be offered Thursday April 17 beginning at 10:00 AM at the funeral home. Friends and family may begin gathering on Thursday morning at 9:00 AM prior to services.
