Obituary of Robert C. Nock

Robert C. Nock, Jr. died Monday February 1 at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. He was 72. Born in Newark, Mr. Nock resided in the Nolan's Point section of Lake Hopatcong, Hopatcong Borough and Tortola, B.V.I. prior to moving to Montclair two and a half years ago. He was the President of Brewster-Nock Advertising and Public Relations in Mt. Arlington. Mr. Nock served in the United States Air Force. He was a member and past President of the Lake Hopatcong Rotary Club, an artist, a designer and a musician especially fond of Bluegrass music. At one time he was commissioned by the government of Tortola, B.V.I. to redesign their inner harbor, a project valued at over $100 million. He was the building and restaurant designer of Fat Hog Bob's Restaurant in Tortola, B.V.I. He studied politics, was very patriotic and loved swimming, sailing and his time spent in B.V.I. Loving father of Robert C. III and his wife Amy and Susan A. Nock. Beloved grandfather of Cooper, Mollie and Lucas. Dearest brother of Wayne and his wife Betty, James and his wife Lori and William and his wife Gloria. The family will receive friends and relatives for visiting hours on Friday February 5 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing. A family eulogy will be shared at 8:00 Friday evening at the funeral home.
