My beautiful cousin Leanne, I still remember the first time we met Jamie. It was Christmas dinner at your parent's house. He won us all over instantly with his warm smile, his gentleness, his kindness, his sense of humor, and the way he looked at you. It was clear right from the beginning, the two of you were meant to be together. It felt like he was part of our family long before the actual wedding day. I loved listening to all his stories. Although it was short, Jamie had a very exciting and full life! A few days ago you asked me what you are going to do and I said I didn't know. I should have said that with the love of your family and friends, you will get through this one day at a time. I look at the friends you have surrounding you every day and I thank God that you have so much support. I'm sure Jamie is, and always will be watching over you. And I know he wants you to be happy again. I wish with all my heart there was something more I could do to ease your pain. Just know that we all love you and are here for you.
To Jamie's family, we only just met you at the wedding. You are just the family we imagined Jamie had. We hope and pray that over time your pain turns to joy and your tears turn to laughter when you think of all the memories and times you shared with Jamie through his life.

James, brother, there is so much to be said. We met in elementary school and instantly became friends. A friendship that has lasted almost 30 years. A friendship that will undoubtedly last at least another 30. You have way too much personality and soul to not touch me on a daily basis. I will miss many things about you, not your text messages though!! You were the most giving, and maybe more importantly the most forgiving person I ever met.
You have left behind a wonderful family that you loved dearly, as well as you new bride who was just the apple of your eye. We all envied the love you had for Lee, and how it radiated off of you. She as were the rest of us, is a very lucky person to be touched by your presence throughout the years. Saying that you will be sorely missed by many is a complete understatement.
Rest in peace James, we'll be down here smiling thinking about you.

Leanne and The Liamero Family: I want to say that Jamie was a brother-in-law to me long before he married my sister. He had such a warm personality from the moment I met Jamie and his love for my sister showed in his smile and his body language all of the time. They were "2 peas in a pod". They were meant to be together. Sis, cherish all of the wonderful, loving moments you had with Jamie. You will never forget him. Love, Gee

You were always there when he needed you and I know that he was there for you as well. When you met Leanne that smile on your face became brighter than the sun! There are no explanations as to why this happened, but know that one day we will all be together. Leanne, you will always, always be a part of the LaBarre Family. I first met Jamie back when the guys were Srs. in high school. I'll never forget the parties Bobby threw at our apartment in Landing. James was always the life of the parties!! I'll never forget the time Sari and I came home to find Bobby's party in full swing and being greeted by "James" holding Sari's huge Brandy snifter filled with Beer! And the huge smile on his face as he told us he couldn't find a glass big enough for his beer! We were hysterical!! Unfortunately, I didn't get to know Jamie very well, but whenever i saw him he made me feel like I was one of His friends! Leanne, Our thoughts and Prayers are with you, yours and Jamie's Family's. I was lucky enough to grow up with Jamie as one of my "big brothers".
He had a huge personality to match the infectious smile that was always on his face and the loud voice that could be herd from a mile away. He brought joy and laughter to every situation and his stories will never be forgotten... partially because he told them so many times that they are permanently ingrained in our minds. I can't count how many times he made me laugh so hard that my ribs hurt or how many hugs he gave me with those big arms of his. He was a special person who could make you happy even when you were sad. I don't understand why he was taken so young but I appreciate having had him in my life.
My heart goes out to his entire family. I can't imagine your sorrow but I hope that knowing how loved Jamie was by everyone he knew, might help to ease a little bit of your pain.
To Leanne, I'm not sure of what to say other then I'm so sorry! You and Jamie belonged together and although the many years that you had together aren't as many as you expected, they were great years no the less. Everyone loved Jamie but Jamie loved you so much that you were his partner and his wife!

Shock and heartbroken are just two words that describe how those who knew you are feeling today. Jamie, you were and forever will be the most amazing friend a person could ask for. Your laughter and wicked sense of humor was infectious. Your loyalty and ability to be there for your family and friends will never be forgotten. We have spent so many great times together and have been on so many adventures that one can't possibly count. I can't possibly imagine a Forth of July without you. A Memorial Day weekend not covered in mud watching you do wheelies into the river? Impossible. I would give anything to spend one more night listening to you repeat the same story over and over again just one more time. Or open my phone to some crazy, inappropriate text message from you that guarantees a laugh. You and your new bride had only just begun to experience life before it was cut way too short. As I sit here trying to look at your pictures through tear filled eyes, I can't help but ask why you? Why Jamie? I'll never understand why god would take an amazing person like you so soon. You will be in my heart forever dear friend and one day we will meet again. Until that day, rest in peace knowing that Leanne is surrounded by friends and family that will take care of her. I love you dearly my brother.
