Obituary of Salvatore Colabella

Salvatore Colabella of Hopatcong died Saturday November 28, 2009 at Compassionate Care Hospice, Dover. He was 74. He was born and lived in Bronx NY before moving to Hopatcong 46 years ago. A supervisor with the Department of Parks in New York NY, he retired in 1985. In his retirement, he was a licensed real estate broker and appraiser. Salvatore was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and a member of Grace, the Church on the Mount, Netcong. He also was a past member of the Hopatcong Kiwanis, Lenape Valley Rotary and the Hopatcong UNICO. Beloved husband of Beverly Marlene (nee: Koss) Colabella. Devoted father of Richard, Neil, Sal and Chris Colabella, Barbara McCurdy and Dominique Beaugrand. Dear brother of Marie Smith. Loving grandfather of 10 grandchildren and cherished great grandfather of one great grandson.
