Obituary of James G. Dempsey

James G. Dempsey of Landing passed away Saturday April 5, 2014 at Morristown Medical Center, Morristown. He was 73. Born in Long Island City New York, he lived in Bronx NY before moving to Landing over 36 years ago. An Army Vietnam Era veteran, he was a partner and vice president of Custom Interior Contractors in Fairfield. A Parishioner, Eucharistic Minister and CCD Teacher with Our lady of the Lake RC Church in Mt. Arlington, James was a past board member of the NJ Subcontractors Association, a member of the Roxbury Republican Club and an avid NY Ranger Fan. Beloved husband of Bridget Theresa (nee: Connolly) Dempsey. Devoted father of Andrew James and his wife Kristen, Brian James and Michael James Dempsey. Loving grandfather of Connor Patrick and Kaitlin McKenna. Dear brother of Peter Paul and John "Jack" Dempsey, Sister Barbara and the late Bernard "Bernie" Dempsey.
