Obituary of Connie Caputo

Connie (Siciliano) Caputo died Sunday, September 20 at her home in Hopatcong. She was 55 years old. Born in Newark, Mrs. Caputo lived in Paterson before moving to her cozy home in Hopatcong 28 years ago. She retired as a secretary. At one time, Mrs. Caputo worked in the Customer Service Department of the Daily Record Newspaper in Parsippany. Beloved wife of Robert. Loving mother of Stephanie Simiele and her husband Joe. Dear sister of Michele Eick and her husband Robert and Laura Virtue and her husband James. Cherished daughter of Anthony and Rosalie. Adoring companion of her dog Mia. Also, survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. Connie was a beautiful, kind-hearted, sweet soul who touched many hearts in a special way. Her laughter and sense of humor were contagious as well. All of her life, she made family a first priority, celebrated her Italian heritage, and could not give enough to others. Connie enjoyed the beach, music, dancing, and games. She especially loved cooking and baking for her family, who often requested her eggplant parmesan, meatballs, and gravy. Her spirit will always live with us and we will continue to live the way she did with an openness of heart and peace for all. Her future grandchildren will know her as Nona and will celebrate her life. She will truly be missed by those that were blessed enough to know her. Now she is with her other angels and will forever watch over us.
