Obituary of Peter George Wojtach

Peter George Wojtach, of Knowlton Township, formerly of Hopatcong, passed away on Sunday, November 9, at Lehigh Valley Hospice, Allentown, PA. He was 77. Born in Hillside, Peter was raised in Newark and moved to Hopatcong in 1976 where he resided prior to moving to Knowlton 11 years ago. He served proudly in the United States Marine Corps from 1954-1957. Peter worked as a Stationary Engineer for Local #68, International Union of Operating Engineers, West Caldwell, where he served as Shop Steward and taught welding. Most of his employment with Local #68 was spent at Prudential campus in Roseland. Peter was a member of both St. Jude Church in Blairstown and St. Jude Church in Hopatcong and was a Fourth Degree Knight of the Knights of Columbus Council. Devoted husband of the late Joanne (2013), beloved father of David and wife, Kerry, Christopher and wife, Cathy, Cara Nagy and husband Charlie and Dr. Jennifer Reimer and husband, Christian and loving grandfather of Kevin, Lisa, Ashley, Tyler, CJ, Nicholas, Gavin, Nick and Morgan. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Peter's Life Celebration on Wednesday November 12 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing. A Mass of Christian Liturgy will be offered on Thursday November 13 beginning at 10:30 am at St. Jude RC Church, 7 Eisenhower Road, Blairstown, NJ. Mass will be immediately followed by Military Funeral Honors outside the Church. Cremation is private.
