Obituary of Ruth C. Pruden

Ruth C. Pruden died Wednesday September 2 at her home in Stanhope. She was 83 years old. Born in Nutley, Mrs. Pruden resided there prior to moving to Stanhope 63 years ago. She was a homemaker for most of her life and enjoyed sewing, but her greatest joy was the time she spent with her family. Ruth's father, Frank B. Speer was the founder of Lake Lackawanna in Byram Township where she met her husband, Gene and enjoyed many happy times there with her children and grandchildren. Loving wife of the late Eugene (2001). Beloved mother of Gary and his wife Jan of Lehighton, PA and Stephen of Stanhope. Dear mother in law of Eileen of Netcong. Cherished grandmother of Dawn, Ginger, Keith, Angel, Kelli and Sean. Adoring great grandmother of James, Mark, Charlie, Chris, Patrick, Elizabeth, Gabrielle and Jillian.
