Obituary of Casment Anna Rossi

Casment (Maurella) Rossi, age 96, of Landing, passed away on Thursday, August 27, 2009, at Compassionate Care Hospice at St. Clare's Hospital, Dover. Born in Jersey City, NJ she moved to the Port Morris section of Roxbury Township at the age of 2. Casment worked in the Wharton Silk Mill for 10 years and later served as a head cook in the Roxbury School District for 14 years. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Roxbury Fire Company #2, The Ever Young Seniors of Roxbury and The National Association of Retired Federal Employees. A member of the St. Michael's Parish in Netcong, she was extremely devoted to the Lord and the religious aspects of her life. It was believed her prayers often brought miraculous results. Loving wife of Anthony, her husband of 54 years, who died in 1990. Beloved mother of her 3 children, Carmine and his wife Judy of Port Charlotte, Florida, Samuel and his wife Evelyn of Lake Hopatcong, NJ and Mary Ann of Budd Lake, NJ. She is also survived by her 6 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren.
