Obituary of Gertrude C. Krauth

Gertrude C. (nee: Kinn) Krauth of Hackettstown died Saturday August 8, 2009 at St. Clare's Hospital, Denville. She was 88. Born in Staten Island NY, she lived in Hopatcong for 47 years before moving to Paragon Village in Hackettstown in 2003. She was a graduate of Richmond High School in Staten Island and St. Barnabas Nursing School in Newark. A registered nurse with St. Barnabas Hospital in Newark, she also was a nurse for private physicians and a nurse with Hopatcong Borough schools. She was a communicant and choir member of St. Jude's RC Church, Hopatcong. She also was past president of St. Barnabas Hospital Women's and Children's Alumni Association and past president of the Hopatcong Women's Club. An avid reader, she enjoyed knitting, needlepoint, boating and cooking. Beloved wife for 48 years of the late John J. (1994). Devoted mother of Lawrence T. and his wife Anne of Northville NY, Gregory A. of Dayton, Alan L. of West Palm Beach FL., Janet A. and her husband John Nelson of Hampton Twp. and Kathleen A. and her husband Bob Cota of Mt. Arlington. Dear sister of Jack Kinn of Lansdowne VA. Loving grandmother and great grandmother of 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
