Dear Chris,
The news of Kim's passing was so shocking that it left me stunned and full of questions of which I can't find the answers, like why? This I wish I was able to bring to mind because then maybe, just maybe, I could come to you and your children with some wisdom and comfort. The truth
is I do not have any words of wisdom or comfort because there just aren't any. Kim being gone from your lives is so cruel and unfair and I pray you will find peace with this horrible loss and I pray most of all for God to strenghten you so that you can hold fast for your family. You, Chris are now the source of all your children's needs and I know you will continue being their rock. One thing I have learned about you is that your shoulders are broad and I am so glad Nick, Aiden, and Gracie can rest on them now as always. You will never faulter to hold them up through all the ups and downs this life brings.....I thank Jesus they have you as their dad.
My heart is so heavy not for myself but for you and your kids.
Kim was a friend like no other, despite what was happening she never failed to make me giggle she was one of the funniest people I have ever known. I am sad to have lost her but so grateful that I was blessed and fortunate to count her as my friend. She is gone but was kind enough to leave herself with me through all the fond memories I can carry on with. She has a spirit to behold and shared that gift without holding back. Kim was one of a kind. I said to her on more then one occasion that they broke the mold when they made her! I will really miss her. Remember the squad banquet?
....how funny that was night? oh my! That was really the begining of our dear frienship, I just knew I had hit the laughter lottery when we got together! She was so loyal and true! My life was honestly changed forever having her as a part of it. Kim,I thank you so much for sharing your light with my family and I.
I admired her in so many ways.
Her mothering skills were so refined that most could only envy her. She cared for her babies with such ease and I always marveled about how much she clearly enjoyed doing it. You and those kids were what she lived for and now in everlasting life she will continue to watch over you all evermore angelicly in heaven.
Please feel free to call on us is ever we can help you.
Sincerely,
Ken and Maribeth Sally and Family

To the entire Steinmetz and O'Brien families,
You are all in our thoughts and prayers. Kim was a kind and loving person and her impact on everyone is more than apparent in all she did. She will be missed. I am very glad I was able to reconnect with her since high school and although we sadly had too much in common with our mother's cancer deaths, please know she is in my heart forever. God Bless.

To the O'Brien and Steinmetz families:
Kim and I have been friends for the last 20 years. We shared so much together. I loved her like a sister. To lose her so suddenly and so unexpectedly is devestating to me, as I'm sure it is to you. I keep looking at her name on the contact list of my cell phone and am sick to know that I will never use that contact name again. I will miss her dearly and will never forget the fun we shared over the last 20 years.
Rest in peace Kim!! xoxo
