Donna, it will be 10 years you left us - four days from now. 10 years without you. Without your smile, your car parked out front, you raking the leaves with me, you petting sasha (who is with you now), you making lasagna on Sundays, you getting through superstorm Sandy with us, and you saying, in your last days on earth, “Angela, no one has the memories we do. I love you.” And then you were gone. And I said to myself, I will never let myself be 53, because I was never supposed to be your age. I’m 53 now. I’m 53 without you. Not a day goes by, that I still don’t look for your car. When God took you home, he took part of me too. 10 years without you. It doesn’t seem real. We laughed so hard Together and shared so much. The last time I saw Donna was in Walmart and she ran up to me and gave me the biggest hug, she was a sweet person and I will always remember this way, whenever I saw her when we both worked at Tiffany, she always greeted me with a smile and a hug, Oh! Donna, Rest in Peace, you are a lovely soul.

I thank God for giving me the opportunity to have known Donna for 12 years. Not only was she my supervisor, but she was my friend and counselor. Donna always found a way to be there for me in both the good and bad times. She also taught me how to fight for my dreams and never give up on what I wanted to pursue.Donna was also very good at finding a way to motivate me even when I felt down. Donna was that always cheerful happy woman who lived across the street. Many was the time we had good natured discussions about the virtues of living in different areas of New England. She was a dyed in the wool fan of Massachusetts and we always told her we liked the north country of New Hampshire. She would always laugh and tell us that was where the "hillbillies" lived.

Oh my goodness! This is a big shock to me! i worked under Donna Zilla as her intern in the summer 2012. She was an amazing supervisor and i could never ask for any one better.She was very nice and sweet to work with and she also made me feel comfortable and welcome especially as i was the youngest worker in Tiffany & Co.
