Obituary of William Joseph Keeffe

William Joseph Keeffe died Sunday May 3 at St. Clare's Hospital in Dover. He was 88 years old. Born in New York, NY Mr. Keeffe resided in the Astoria section of Queens before moving to Hopatcong in 1965. He was a building supervisor for the Masonic Temple on 23rd Street in New York City. Mr. Keeffe served as a medic in the United States Army during WWII. Beloved father of Patricia McQuade and her husband James of Branchville, Stacy Keeffe Eichner and her husband Michael of Hopatcong and the late Melinda (Keeffe) Howell. Cherished grandfather of James McQuade and his wife Lisa, Timothy McQuade and his wife Becki, Denise Lyn (Howell) D'Alessio and her husband Tony, Peter Howell and his wife Alice, Christopher Howell and Michelle Howell. Adoring great grandfather of Megan, Katelyn, Aislinn, Peter, Gianna and TJ. Dearest brother of James of CA. Mr. Keeffe was also predeceased by his brothers and sisters, Neil, Buddy, Jack, Kathleen, Margie and Pat. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
