Obituary of Jerry V. Kern

Jerry V. Kern, of Hopatcong, passed away on Thursday October 23, 2014 at Overlook Hospital in Summit. He was 67. Born in Jersey City, Jerry attended and graduated from Morris Hills High School while residing in Denville. He has been a resident of Hopatcong since 1976. Employed as Sales Manager for Joyce Honda, Denville, Jerry loved gardening, boating, swimming and taking long walks on the frozen surface of Lake Hopatcong in winter. Jerry was especially fond of entertaining friends and family and adored his three beautiful grandchildren. Devoted husband of Donna (Reichard), loving father of Jennifer Christian and spouse, Sandor and Kimberley Wilson and spouse, Jill and beloved grandfather of Kaitlyn, Alexis and Elizabeth Christian. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Jerry's Life Celebration on Saturday October 25 from 3-5 and 7-9 pm at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing. A prayer service will be offered on Sunday October 26 at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Cremation will be private. Family and friends may begin gathering at the funeral home on Sunday beginning at 12:00pm.
