Obituary of Claire A. Perfetti

Claire A. Perfetti of Port Morris passed away on Saturday January 31, 2009 at Compassionate Care Hospice at St. Clare's, Dover, at the age of 76 after a long illness. Born in Scranton PA to Herman and Helen Ulrich she moved to NJ in 1950 where she met and married her husband of 56 years Joseph Perfetti. Claire worked at McGregor Shirt Factory as a piece maker until 1953 when she started working at the family business and raising her family. She retired from 20 years of service driving a school bus for Roxbury Township Schools. She was an active member of the Port Morris Methodist Church. Her alto voice could be heard throughout the church from her seat in the choir. She was known for her beautiful clothing and blankets that she knitted but she also loved to read, sew, play board games, puzzles, card games and sing. She enjoyed the family vacations in NY State where she met and made many friends. She is predeceased by her parents, a sister Doris Strubeck and a brother Harold Ulrich (both who lived in Port Morris). Beloved wife of Joseph. Devoted mother of Elaine Morrow and her husband Matt of Augusta NJ, Joseph and his wife Amy and Anthony and his wife Kim (both of Port Morris). Cherished grandmother of five granddaughters and three grandsons. Dear sister of Louise Deats of Escondido CA.
