Obituary of Joseph R. Castano

Joseph R. Castano of Ocala FL. (formerly of Mt. Arlington) died Friday January 16, 2009 at Merry Heart Care Center, Succasunna. He was 76. Born in Staten Island NY, he lived in Mt. Arlington before moving to Ocala, FL in 2005. He was a sanitation man for the New York City Department of Sanitation before retiring in 1984. He was a member of the Columbians of the New York City Department of Sanitation, a member of the Sons of Italy # 2648, Ocala FL and an avid card player, bowler and bocci player. Beloved husband of Marie Anne (nee: Ciago). Devoted father of Stephanie A. Spivack and her husband Thomas of Allamuchy and Christopher J. and his wife Michelle of Mt. Arlington. Loving grandfather of Joshua and Joseph Spivack and one on the way from Christopher and Michelle. Dear brother of one brother and two sisters. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the Funeral Mass on Saturday January 24 at 9: AM at St. Therese RC Church, 151 Main Street, Succasunna. The church will open at 8:30 AM prior to the mass.
