Grandma you meant the world to me. If I had to define what a grandma was it would be you. You and my grandfather were two of the most heartwarming and loving people I have ever met. You acted as not only a grandma but a role model, a person I could look up to, be cared for, a second mother, a resource, and an experienced person. I only remember one set of grandparents growing up and you took on the role of not only one, but two grandmothers and much, much more. All our memories and moments spent together will be cherished in my heart. I will always remember our traditional Sunday dinners of cooking the gravy all day long and then finally sitting down as a family and we'd mangia! mangia!. Or the times you taught me and my brother Italian words or telling us stories from Arthur avenue or from the old country about what happened when and who did what. Grandma, you might have past before us but I know that you are still watching over us as you always had. You and my grandfather were meant for each other, like bread and butter. Through these tough times I will watch Grandpa and be at his side like you would have been. Throughout our time spent together I've learned to take not only the positive effects you've pushed off on me but the negatives as they teach me life lessons and to pass on from generation to generation. Words can not describe my feelings towards you and how you have impacted my life. Not only me, but everyone writing on this wall, the many people who you have touched and shown affection to, just reminds me of how great of a person you were. So today we will be as brave as you, cause you were the bravest of the brave, By not mourning you but by celebrating your life.

I was so lucky to call you my aunt. I never had the chance to meet or get to know too many of my family members, but having you and Uncle Michael made up for that. Thanks to you I always had someone to look forward to seeing on holidays, birthdays, graduation parties, and any other occasion where we all got the chance to get together. Thank you for all of the good memories, the witty comments always bringing me and my family to hysterical laughter, the generosity and the love, and for motivating me to always make you and Uncle Michael proud. I promise I will continue to try and do that. Fond memoirs of you have occupied my mind since I was little, and they will remain there forever. Even the last time I saw you a few weeks ago- we all laughed together as you told us about the dream you had, where there was pasta all over the floor and you were so angry at my mom for not cleaning it up. Not many people would have a sense of humor in the midst of such a battle, and the fact that you did truly shows your strength. I love you and I miss you already.

I will not lament to the world that I have lost a sister-in-law, for in truth I have lost a sister. I will treasure the bond that we developed over the years always. I will miss your sense of humor. Most of all I will miss our almost daily phone calls just to check in and say "hi". In the 23 years that I have been so blessed to call you my Aunt, I have acquired so many precious memories that I cannot pick one. There are a few that are most special in my mind. I remember in my younger years always having our "Christmas in July" that we would have every year in the summer. My favorite childhood memory is when I was about five years old and all I wanted for Christmas was a Spice Girl barbie doll and when I got to your house, you surprised me with all five of them! My more favorite more adult memory, was at my 21st birthday party when you got me my light up birthday sash and tiara. I still have them out on display in my room. I loved how everytime I came over for dinner, you would always save the last chocolate cheesecake for me. However, any memory with you involved in my life is a favorite. Thank you for being the best Aunt in the entire world, I could not have asked for a better Aunt. I love you and will miss you everyday
