What can I say about Donna….I worked with her most of my career at Wyndham and was fortunate enough to have shared so many memories. We all felt like Kevin, Paige, Brian and Sean were part of us because we were so excited to see them grow up. I was amazed at how organized she was but I guess you have to be. When the kids were newborns, she had a huge board up that told you when each child was fed and changed. Even at work Donna worked on the schedule and had a little system. We worked with the salesmen and Donna kept them in line. She set her deadlines for requests and if you were late, well ….. then it was going to cost you…We all know what Donna's most favorite thing in the world was….yes chocolate. You can always count on Donna to have chocolate. When you needed your fix she had the cure. From bags of Hershey kisses to the miniatures you knew who had the chocolate. So when the salesmen were late the consequence was to send Donna a little gift and I'm sure you can guess what that was. She had them so trained that over the years being late meant you better be sending in chocolate the next day.
Donna's other love….Russell Crowe. She called him her bad boy and posted pictures of him up on her cube walls, right next to the kids of course.
Donna was not only a co-worked but a friend. As I watched her kids grow up she watched me grow up over the years. She was so happy when I got married that she even went out and purchased a gift off my registry and every year she would send me an email and say Happy Anniversary. But the best part of all is that Donna's birthday was one day after mine and we would joke about how we got along so well because we were both the same astrological sign. Emotional on the inside but a tough shell on the outside that is what the astrological sign says. She was just that she always was strong, she was scared on the inside when her battle began but she stayed positive and said she was going to kick butt! You loved to talk to Donna because she was so positive and upbeat. She had an infectious laugh that you loved to hear and that is one of the things that I am going to miss. We could always make each other laugh in fact on one of my visits Donna was commenting on how her face looked fat and she was eating a lot and I said to her well my face is fat from being pregnant and you better believe I can eat a lot so I guess we are a lot alike. I also told her she will always be my sexy Donna. This made her smile and laugh and that is one thing Donna and I did a lot of at work….laugh.
On my last visit I brought Donna a basket for her 15 years of service at Wyndham and in the basket were Angels, a candle, a cross and the word HOPE but most importantly a plaque that described who my friend Donna was perfectly and now I would like to share the words with all of you………..
To a Truly Remarkable Woman
You are a remarkable woman who accomplishes so much as a strong woman in a man's world. You are strong but soft. Strong but caring. Strong but compassionate. You are a remarkable woman who accomplishes so much as a giving woman in a selfish world. You give to your friends, to your family, to everyone. You are a remarkable woman and you are loved by so many people whose lives you have touched including mine.

I have had the pleasure of knowing Donna when she 1st started at Wyndham. She was always smiling, laughing and eager to help you even when she was busy. Miraculously last week an "angel" key chain appeared on my desk and no one know how it got there. I'm proud to be part of the "angel kisses for Donna committee' and know that we will continue to watch over her family as she watches over us. You will be missed but never forgotten.
Rest peacefully in God's arms.

Although I never met you Donna I felt your love and legacy at our Fundraiser Spaghetti Dinner/Marinara throwdown last month. The throngs of people, friends, family and co-workers of yours, as well as parishioners and friends of St Andrew's poured in to support you and your family. I prefer to think of this not as a "battle lost", but as an "angel gained". God Bless you in your new found peace and Bless Brian and your beautiful children. Although no one can replace your love for them it is clear that your love and life will touch them forever.

Dear Paige, Kevin, Brian & Sean and Dad Brian - I didn't know your family, but heard about you though our HR team just last week; your uncle Tim is one of our employees. I was planning to make a donation to Angel Kisses for Donna, but wanted to know the story first. What a wonderful and special lady your mother was and what a wonderful and special family you all are! I lost my mom to breast cancer during this same time period over 33 years ago when I was only 18; she was sick for 5 years. The coming days and months will be hard, but know that so many people out there praying for all of you. Stay close to one another and be there for your dad as he will surely need all your love and support. Always keep your mom in your heart and at night, think of her, talk to her and listen for her as she will always be there for you in spirit. Much love and support to your entire family.

Donna: Paul wrote in II Timothy 4:7 "I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith". As I reflect on the last 14 years of knowing you, those words completely describe who you are. You have been a true inspiration to all who knew you. Now, go and rest in the arms of Jesus. I thank God for allowing our paths to cross. Your family will always be in my prayers. Curt

Donna saying that I will miss you doesn't even touch how I feel right now. You are the epitome of what a good mom, wife, friend & coworker should be. Through all of this we always talked about the strength you got from Brian, the kids, your family and friends. We ended our conversations with "Keep Kicking Butt" and that is what you did, until the end you provided strength and courage to those around you.
Thank you for all the help and support you gave over the years at the office. I found ways to ruin your perfect travel schedule at least every other week. You would smile at me tell me I was a pain, take the handful of chocolate I brought to bribe you with and then you would make everything right in our little world.
Sean, Paige, Kevin & Brian you will forever treasure all the great memories that mom was apart of. If you are like me you will even find yourself talking to her whenever life throws you a curveball. (I lost my dad 20 years ago and there isn't a week that goes by that I don't talk to him) Be strong for dad the 5 of you will need all your love and support to carry on.
Donna I haven't looked at a Hersey's Kiss for the last couple of years and not thought of you and I thank you for that. That will be my memory of you, unwrapping your 5th or 6th one, laughing that great laugh of yours…going off to get it done…

Dear Paige, Kevin, Brian, Sean and Brian,
I had the pleasure of working with your mom for several years. She was one of the most positive and genuinely nice people I knew. I can still hear her infectious laugh rolling down the hallway and regardless of what the problem or challenge was, she always had a smile on her face and didn't let it get to her.
I am so sorry for your loss, but I hope you find comfort in all of the time you had with her and knowing that she will always be looking over you. You have my heartfelt sympathy.

Its funny what can come from a blind date. But you and Brian arranged one, and look what happened. What I have today is all because of what you did for me and Chrissy all those years ago. And where did I propose to Chrissy? Your living room in Belleville !!!!!(Did you have scallops for dinner?) How special you are to me can only be understood by two people, and thats you and me. You will always hold a special place in my heart for what you mean to me.
But what grew from falling in love with Chrissy, was the blessing of becoming part of the most loving and caring family anyone could ever hope for. I believe the love I see between the family comes from one place, and thats your Mom. I know shes holding you, just as all Moms do with their babies.
We love you for being you. Our lives again are forever changed. But our lives are better because of you.
