Obituary of Antonio Serafini

Antonio Serafini, of Stanhope passed away Thursday, February 27, 2014 at Lakeland Health Care Center, Haskell. He was 88. Born in Sulmona, Italy to the late Angelo Serafini and Maddalena (nee:Tirabassi). He lived in Netcong before moving to Stanhope 50 years ago. Mr. Serafini worked as a machinist for Westinghouse in Randolph for many years. He had an extreme passion for gardening and was an avid league bowler. Beloved husband of the late Victoria Maria (nee:Giannantonio) in 2012. Loving father of Silvana Milch and her husband Michael. Dear brother of Filomena, Gina, the late Maria, the late Francesco and his step- sister the late Anna and their families. Cherished brother-in-law of Edmondo Giannantonio and the late Ana, John Giannantonio and his wife Fran and Phyllis Mastrangioli and her husband Gino. He is also survived by his nephews Rocco and Angelo LaCivita of Boston and numerous nieces and nephews in the US. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to Antonio's Life Celebration on Wednesday, March 5th from 3:00pm to 8:00pm at the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing. A funeral mass will be offered on Thursday, March 6th at 10:00am at St. Jude Thaddeus RC Church, Mt. Olive Road, Budd Lake. All are invited to meet directly at church for mass. Entombment will follow at the Newton Mausoleum, Newton. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Compassionate Care Hospice, 1373 Broad Street, Suite 300A, Clifton, NJ 07013, The Alzheimer's Association, 400 Morris Ave #251, Denville, NJ 07834 or to a charity of a person's choice.
