Obituary of Michael Komorek

Michael J. Komorek of Saylorsburg , PA passed away Saturday October 11, 2014 at home. He was 54. Born in Summit, he lived in New Providence, Princeton and Stewartsville before moving to Saylorsburg 2 years ago. Michael was an assistant store manager with Giant Supermarket in Forks Twp., PA. He most recently formed Corporate Protective Services in Saylorsburg. A past Grand Knight with the Knights of Columbus in Summit, he was a 1977 graduate of New Providence High School. He received his Bachelor's Degree from Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, IN and also earned a Master's Degree in Communication. Cherished brother of Joseph Komorek and his wife Donna. Dear step-father of Andrew, Lauren and Kevin Diamond. Loving grandfather of Gabriel, Aiden and Hailey Diamond. Cherished uncle of Michael Komorek and his wife Stacey and Paul Komorek. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Michael's Life Celebration on Thursday October 16 from 9am-12pm at the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing. A prayer service will be offered at 12:00pm Thursday at the funeral home. Michael will be laid to rest at Stanhope Union Cemetery in Mt. Olive Township.
