Obituary of Anthony Vallone

Anthony Vallone died Tuesday April 1 at Manchester Memorial Hospital in Manchester, CT. He was 76 years old. Born in Bronx, NY, Mr. Vallone was a graduate of Christopher Columbus High School in Bronx, NY Class of 1949 and resided in Clifton prior to moving to Hopatcong in 1968. He was retired from his position as a Technician for Western Electric in Kearny. He was a member of the I.B.E.W. while employed by Western Electric. Prior to that, Mr. Vallone was an X-ray technician at St. Francis Hospital in Bronx, NY. Mr. Vallone served in the US Navy during the Korean War from 1951-55. He was a member of the Telecom Pioneers of America and the Air Force Association at Maguire AFB in New Jersey. Loving husband of the late Dolores (2001), beloved father of Michael and his wife, Sharon of Tolland, CT, Peggy Wolcott and her husband Stephen of Byram, Dolores Bassano of Somerville and Carol Contract and her husband Richard of Hopatcong, Adoring grandfather of Catherine Austin and her husband Eric, Jonathan and his wife, Sarah, Adam and Tony Wolcott, Matthew Vallone, Veronica Bassano and Hailey Contract, Cherished great grandfather of Tyler and Ethan Vallone, Dearest brother of Salvatore and his wife, Vincenza, Grace Falardo and her husband Joseph, the late John Vallone and the late Mary Olszewski, beloved brother in law of Margaret Kavanaugh and the late Stanley Olszewski.
