Obituary of Frank Dam

Frank Dam died Saturday March 8 at his home in Hopatcong, surrounded by his loving family. He was 77 years old. Born in Newark, Mr. Dam was raised in Kearny prior to moving to Hopatcong in 1974. He last worked as a facilities manager for William Paterson University in Paterson. Prior to that he worked for Carpenters' Union Local #1349 in Orange. Mr. Dam served in the US Army from 1946-48. He was a member of the Kearny Elks Lodge, an active bowler in the church bowling league in Sparta for 30 years, a member of the Hopatcong Senior Citizens, he served on the Hopatcong Planning Board for nine years, he enjoyed playing golf and was a longtime member of the Byram Bay Community Club in Hopatcong. Loving husband of Margaret (nee: Frame), beloved father of Gary of San Jose, CA, David of Annandale, Nancy Desmond of Hopatcong and Beverly Gulan of Hopatcong, dearest brother of Marion Lynch of Spring Lake, Florence McCartney of Kearny and Carol McKeever and her husband Owen of Middletown, beloved brother-in-law of Elise Musterer and her husband Walter, cherished grandfather of six and adoring great grandfather of one.
