Obituary of Thomas Moscagiuri

Thomas Moscagiuri, longtime resident of Hopatcong, passed away on Monday September 15 surrounded by his loving family. He was 90. Born in Newark, on November 6, 1923 to the late Cosimo and Rose Moscagiuri, Thomas resided there prior to moving to Hopatcong. Thomas served proudly in the United States Army during World War II from 1944-46. He was employed by Chrysler Corporation in Tappan, NY before retiring in 1982. Devoted husband of the late Margaret (2002), loving father of Hanora "Honey" Mazzella, Sheilla Grecco, Karen Driscole, Maryrose Recktenwald, Kathleen Nelson, James Moscagiuri and the late Frances Bianculli, Adoring grandfather of 15 grandchildren and dear brother of Jerry Moscagiuri. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Thomas' Life Celebration on Friday, September 19 from 6 to 9 pm at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday, September 20 beginning at 10am at Immaculate Conception Church, 65 Church Street, Franklin, NJ 07416. All are welcome to meet directly at church for mass. Thomas will be laid to rest at North Hardyston Cemetery, Hardyston, NJ immediately following Mass.
