Obituary of Teal Allen

Teal Allen of Landing passed away Thursday November 22, 2007 at Compassionate Care Hospice at St. Clare's, Dover, after a long illness at the age of 79. She wanted to be "home" for Thanksgiving and now she is "home with the Lord". "The Lord watched as she suffered, He knew she had her share, He gently closed her eyelids, and took her in his care". Born in Pitkin LA, she lived in Hopatcong before moving to Landing 41 years ago. She was a nurse's aid for many years then later became a cafeteria worker in the local elementary school. She enjoyed crocheting and going to craft fairs. She was very blessed to have neighbors and friends who cared for her very much and she was a loving person and will be missed by all who knew her. She is predeceased by her husband John J. Allen who died in 1987 and her son John "Buddy" Voelker who died in 2004. She is survived by her daughters Alice Sereno and her husband Anthony of Whiting NJ, Barbara Henderson and her husband William of Flanders NJ and Cindy Johnson and her husband Kevin of Kunkletown PA. She is also survived by her loving sister Laulee Crifaci and her husband Joseph of Chalmette LA and sister-in-law Virginia Sparnon of Hackettstown NJ. She leaves 21 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
