Obituary of Paul Francis Arico

Paul Francis Arico, of Hopatcong, passed away Wednesday January 8, 2014 at Morristown Medical Center. He was 58. Born in Dover, on July 27, 1955 to Alma Blevins and the late Joseph Arico, Paul grew up there prior to moving to Hopatcong 23 years ago. Paul worked with the Defense Contracts Management Agency for the United States Government and was active for over 25 years with the American Federation of Government Employees where he served as a Steward and Vice President. He was an avid and accomplished bowler, bowling one perfect 300 game, as well as a 299, a 298 and a 297. Paul was also an excellent tennis player and was Captain of his college team at County College of Morris in Randolph. He also enjoyed golf and was a passionate New York Yankees fan. Devoted husband of Maryann (Bishop), beloved father of Margaret Mary and Kimberly Ann, loving son of Alma (Blevins) Arico and dear brother of Mary Petrock and husband, Michael, Joseph Arico and wife, Joan, James Arico and wife, Diane and Denise Boehm and husband, Tom. Survivors also include nine nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a celebration of Paul's life on Friday January 10 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, Landing. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Jude RC Church in Hopatcong on Saturday January 11 beginning at 10:00 am. Paul will be laid to rest at Locust Hill Cemetery in Dover.
