Obituary of Francis J. Scanlon IV
Francis J. Scanlon IV died Tuesday September 18 at his home in Mt. Arlington. He was 25 years old.
Born in Newton, Mr. Scanlon resided in Hopatcong prior to moving to Mt. Arlington less than one year ago. He was a graduate of Hopatcong High School class of 2000 and earned a bachelors degree from Centenary College in Hackettstown. He was currently working toward a Masters degree at Centenary College.
He served in the United States Marine Corps on active duty in both Kosovo and Iraq and served in the Marine reserves. In all, his service to his country ranged from 2000 - the present. He was currently employed as an Import manager for Granules USA Inc. in Mt. Arlington.
Mr. Scanlon enjoyed computer games and reading.
Loving son of Doris Clark of Branchville and Francis J. III of Hopatcong. Dear brother of Aaron Duchscherer of GA, Nicole Duchscherer of Branchville and Melissa Scanlon of Hopatcong. Adoring grandson of Marcella Willie of Newton and Phyllis Botticelli of Punta Gorda, FL. Survivors also include many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
