Obituary of Wilfred Sidney Butler

Wilfred Sidney "Bill" Butler (formerly of Hopatcong) died Tuesday April 17, 2007 at Andover Subacute and Rehabilitation Center, Andover Township. Born in Birmingham England, he came to the United States in 1926. Living in Belleville, he moved to Hopatcong in 1972 before recently moving to Newton this year. A WWII Army Veteran, Mr. Butler was a past member of Belleville Elks #1123, past member of the Elks in Rockaway and founded Ratpack #1, #2 and #3 CB Club. His handle was "The Minute Man". A machinist for Airco in Lodi, he retired in 1983. Beloved husband of Madeline B. (nee: Larena). Devoted father of Wallace of Sussex, William Keith of Belton MO and Priscilla Sutphen of Hopatcong. Cherished grandfather of 4 grandchildren and loving great grandfather of 2 great grandchildren.
