Obituary of Mary Ellen Robinson

Mary Ellen Robinson died Tuesday April 17 at her home in Hopatcong. She was 83 years old. The youngest of eleven children, Mrs. Robinson was born in Orange and resided there prior to moving to Hopatcong ten years ago. She was captain of her Essex Vo-Tech High School Basketball team where her teammates gave her the nickname "Midge" because of her height. At one time she was also a dance director. She was employed at McCrory Corporation in Orange as a sales clerk for fifteen years. More recently, she was a parishioner of St. Jude Church in Hopatcong. She was predeceased by her grandson, Nick Serio in 1998. Loving mother of Pamela Serio of Hopatcong and Susan Wander of Florida. Adoring grandmother of Samantha Prestifilipo and her husband, Joe, Jason Serio and his wife, Megan, Maryann Spitz, Bill Wander and Jessica Wander. Cherished great grandmother of nine great grandchildren.
