Obituary of Louis Castiglia

Louis Castiglia, Jr. of Succasunna passed away Wednesday December 18, 2013 at Kindred Hospital New Jersey - Morris County in Dover. He was 81. Born in Newark, he lived in Orange prior to moving to Succasunna more than 40 years ago. Prior to his retirement, Louis was a Draftsman-CAD for Automatic Switch (now known as Emerson) in Florham Park. An Army veteran, he played saxophone, guitar and keyboard. Louis enjoyed art, painting, fishing, ballroom and line dancing. Survivors include 2 daughters: Deborah Cassel and her husband Todd and Loretta Sites and family; a brother: Anthony Castiglia and his wife Donna; 2 sisters: Catherine Rega and her husband Anthony and Norma Suriano (her late husband Frank); also survived by 8 nieces and nephews and several great nieces and great nephews and loving companion Mary Hessenius. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Louis's Life Celebration on Thursday December 19 from 2-4 and 7-9PM at the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday December 20 at 10:00AM at St. Rose of Lima R.C. Church in East Hanover followed by interment in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery (also in East Hanover).
