Obituary of Lucille H. Sweetser

Lucille H. Sweetser of Mt. Arlington, NJ passed away on Friday, June 12th. She was 93. Lucille was born on October 11, 1921 in Emerson, NJ to the late John and the late Helen (Wulff) Hillman. She began her career as a secretary at Lederle Labs and then pursued a career as a licensed hairdresser. For the last 30 years before retirement she was a draftsperson with NJ Bell in Ledgewood, NJ. Lucille lived in Dover and Budd Lake before moving to Mt. Arlington 28 years ago. She enjoyed water coloring, swimming and sewing. Lucille is survived by her devoted daughter; Faith Rubenstein and her cherished grandson, David and his wife, Becky, her brother, Walter Hillman, her sister, Irene Goforth, her great-grandchildren, David and Grace and many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her son-in-law, Alan Rubenstein in 2015, her brother, John Hillman and 3 nieces and nephews. Lucille's Life Celebration will include a visitation on Wednesday, June 17th from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. There will be a prayer service offered at 1:00 pm also at the funeral home. Lucille will be laid to rest immediately following the prayer service at Stanhope Union Cemetery in Mt. Olive Twp., NJ. For memorial donations, the Ledgewood Baptist Church or a charity for Blindness Research.
