Obituary of Henry E. Bellene

Henry E. "Hank" Bellene of Hopatcong passed away peacefully Friday, December 13, 2013 at Morristown Medical Center; he was 84. Born in Nutley on October 2, 1929, he lived in Madison prior to moving to Hopatcong over 50 years ago. Prior to his retirement, Hank was a driver with Anchor Motor Freight in Linden under the CB handle "The Good Guy". He enjoyed fishing and hunting and most of all spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. A United States Marine Corps Veteran of the Korean War, he was a member of VFW Post 493 of Nutley, the American Legion Post 105 of Belleville and the West Hudson Detachment 209 of the Marine Corps League of Kearny. Hank was the beloved husband of the late Patricia (nee: O'Connor); devoted father of Stephen and his wife Susan of Paris TX, Brian and his wife Margaret of Stanhope, Patricia Ann Eagle and her husband Thomas of Port Murray, Kathleen Scanlon and her husband Michael of Jefferson and Mary Agnes McDonald and her husband William of Linesville PA and loving grandfather/great grandfather of 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the West Hudson Detachment 209 of The Marine Corps League, 286 Belgrove Drive, Kearny, NJ 07032.
