Obituary of Patricia Ann Swanson

Patricia Ann Swanson of Hopatcong, NJ passed away on Sunday, August 30th at Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, NJ surrounded by her loving family. She was 84. Patricia was born on August 19, 1931 in Brooklyn, NY to the late Patrick and the late Nellie (McLoughlin) Murphy. She was a longtime resident of Hopatcong and a bookkeeper at Greystone Park in Morris Plains for many years before retiring. Patricia was an active parishioner of St. Jude RC Church in Hopatcong and a longtime member of the Rosary Society. She volunteered with the local election polling but most importantly, she loved spending time with her family. Patricia was very proud of her Irish heritage. Patricia is survived by her son, John and his wife, Danette, her cherished grandchildren, Cole, Craig and Carter, her brother, John Murphy and her sister, Kathrin Kojola. She was pre-deceased by her sisters, Mary Alm, Josephine Hall, and Eileen Smith and her brother, Martin Murphy. Patricia's Life Celebration will include a visitation on Thursday, September 3rd from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ.
