Obituary of Rose Sibilia

Rose (Stoia) Sibilia of Hopatcong, NJ passed away on Monday, August 31st at Compassionate Care Hospice Dover Campus. She was 81. Rose was born on July 22, 1934 in Newark, NJ to the late Archie and Mary (Guiliano) Stoia and resided in Newark prior to moving to Hopatcong 45 years ago. Rose was a dental assistant for Dr. Joseph Pennacchio in the Succasunna and Mt. Arlington offices. She was a parishioner of St. Jude RC Church in Hopatcong and enjoyed trips to the casinos of Atlantic City and Mt. Airy Lodge in Pennsylvania. Rose also loved visiting Canada and the beauty of New York State's Finger Lakes region. Most importantly, Rose cherished time with her family. She was known for her loving and caring nature and her honesty and compassion. Rose's sense of humor and good natured spirit will be missed by all who knew her. Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Vincent and her three children, Vinnie and Archie Sibilia and Donna Juskus and her spouse, Carl. Additional survivors include her five grandchildren, Vinnie, Anthony, Michael, Candice and Carl, Jr., brothers, Alphonse and Archie Stoia and sisters, Anne Genovese and Santa Schork. Rose's Life Celebration will include a visitation on Wednesday, September 2nd from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. There will be a funeral mass on Thursday, September 3rd at 10:00 AM at St. Jude RC Church in Hopatcong. Cremation will be private.
