Obituary of James J. Mundy

James J. Mundy, 69, of Cape May Court House, NJ passed away on Friday September 11, 2015 at Cooper University Medical Center in Camden. Born on August 4, 1946 in Paterson, NJ to the late John and Theresa (Maletta) Mundy, Jim resided in Hopatcong from 1975 until moving to Cape May Court House in 2008. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from 1966-69. Jim was a member of the Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter #327. He was also a member of the Military Truck Association and the Shongum Sportsmen's Association. He was predeceased by his first wife, Judith in 2001 and his daughter, Nilla Goldson in 2012. Survivors include his wife, Maria (Ferraro), daughter, Jennifer Chan and her spouse, Mike, grandchildren Natashia and Justin Goldson, a great granddaughter, Gianna, a sister, Nancy Schroeder and her spouse, Ken and stepchildren David and Dena Verakus. Jim's Life Celebration will include visiting on Wednesday September 16 from 9:00AM – 12:00 PM at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. A funeral service will be offered on Wednesday at 12:00PM at the funeral home. Jim will be laid to rest at Laurel Grove Cemetery in Totowa immediately following services.
