Obituary of Joseph F. Rawley
Joseph F. Rawley, of Hopatcong, passed away on Wednesday December 11 at Compassionate Care Hospice at St. Clare's/Dover Campus. He was 77.
Born in Orange, Joseph resided in Union and Elmwood Park prior to moving to Hopatcong 17 years ago. He worked as a telephone equipment technician for AT&T in King of Prussia, PA before retiring in 1985. Joseph served in the United States Navy from 1953-1961. He was a parishioner of St. Therese and a member of their Knights of Columbus Council #6320.
Devoted husband of Bernadette (Calandriello), loving father of Nancy Rawley, dearest brother of Robert Rawley and wife, Madeline and Anne Saldich and beloved brother in law of Drew Calandriello and his wife, Mary. Also surviving is his loyal grand-dog, Smokey.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to Joseph's Life Celebration on Sunday December 15 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, Landing. A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be offered on Monday December 16 at 10:00 am at St. Therese Church, Succasunna. Joseph will be laid to rest at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Newark. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Joseph's memory to St. Therese Church, 7 Hunter Street, Succasunna, NJ 07876.
