Obituary of Philip Steven Hirlemann

Philip Steven Hirlemann, of Belvidere, passed away on Tuesday April 19, 2016 at St. Luke's Hospice House in Bethlehem, PA. He was 69. Born in Neptune, NJ, on February 23, 1947 to Theodora Rymond and the late Philip Hirlemann, Phil was raised in Belmar, NJ prior to moving to Belvidere six years ago. He received a Master's Degree in Education and was a teacher for Hopatcong High School for over 25 years. Phil enjoyed sharing his love of photography, art and cars, but his greatest joy was spending time with friends and family. Survivors include his mother Theodora Hirlemann, his wife, Helene Hirlemann five children Megan Stoner (Tom), Victoria Hirlemann, Stephanie Hirlemann, Helene Harryn (Kirk) and Jerry Venturino (Stefanie), eight grandchildren, Alexandra, Tyler, Tommy, Isabella, Gianna, Michael, Zachary and Lucas, siblings Wayne Hirlemann (Pat) and Nancy Zillante and his nephews Greg Zillante (Lisa) and Matt Zillante (Chelsea). Phil's Life Celebration will include visiting on Sunday April 24, 2016, from 3-7pm at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. A Christian Liturgy will be offered on Monday April 25, 2016 at 10:00am at Our Lady of the Lake, 8 Windermere Ave., Mt. Arlington, NJ 07856. All are invited to meet directly at church to celebrate Mass. Cremation will be private.
