Roger saved my life once at Coldspring lake
I was there with bud bruce and roger and went as a kid into too deep water. Sinking fast roger plucked me out.
I of course showed him my appreciation dumping water on him with bruce when he was in a bath stall.
Roger was very fast and had long arma fortunately he grabbed bruce first.
I miss him
Michael

Buddy and I (Bonnie; Buddy's wife for 28 years) saw Roger at his home in "the Heights" as they called it, met his dog when he first got him...We went specifically to visit and to say "hi!" as he rarely came to Piszel dinners/pool parties at his Uncle Buby's -- Rogers Uncle & Geza's only brother. I would like to say that Roger was very, very sweet and kind-not only to me but to anyone I saw him interact with (Mattie, etc). Roger was really a gentle man. My condolences, though heartfelt, seem so little to offer at this moment...Roger was the kind of soul who made the world a nicer place. And isn't that truely what we should all aspire to do? So simple to be kind yet so rare in todays world. I am certain Roger is an Angel teacher already-he needed no training. He personified grace and was respecful to all. He was modest but we all know he was handsome with a winning smile even as he remained humble at all times. Gid Bless you Roger. It was an honor and pkeasure knowing you, Love, Bonnie

I've known Roger for 30+ years and we've shared too many memories to post; softball, vacations, concerts and sushi. Our lives are better for having known him and will remember him always. May he rest in peace.

Dear Ona,and Bee I am so saddened by Roger's passing. I still remember the first day you all moved into the neighborhood and I rang the door bell to see if Roger could come out and play, your dad/husband answered the door I introduced myself and asked your dad/husband what his name was he answered Geza, was amazed I thought only my grandfather and a King of Hungary were named Geza. Well Roger and I became fast friends and often in mischievous adventures, which for the record I deny.I have many fond memories of going to Sandy Hook and to McDonalds beach either in the old Pontiac or with my mother and half the neighborhood in my grandfathers Valiant. how the many times we listened to music, played Monopoly,Risk, gin rummy, in the attic and how we played many hours of touch football after school usually Roger and me vs George Rose and my brother Paul. The times we camped out in or backyards. As we grew older and went to college we lost contact, don't quiet know why. I reconnected briefly a few years ago when Eddie Walsh told me Roger is living in Hasbrouck Hts.I went over rang the door bell again and it was like we never lost touch it was a beautiful June afternoon and we hung out and drank some beer and remembered old times,I said that I would try to get my brother and sister together and have him come over and get my mother to make some Palacsinta Hungarian crepes, but unfortunately it never came to pass.I am so sorry that I did not push the issue. Roger was my first best friend. Even though we lost contact I will always think fondly of him. Roger God bless you. Love George Nemeth Mrs Piszel I apologize for the informality in calling you Bee buts that the only name I knew for you, even though I always called you Mrs. Piszel. My deepest condolences to you and Ona.

Going to be missed dearly, hanging at the pool, playing golf at the spur of the moment; expecially on labor and memorial day and having that first bloody at PGC at the second hole.

Hi Ona and your family,
I'm Margi Schak Lemaire's sister, Patty. I'm so sorry for your loss. I dated Roger for a special time in my life as a teenager. He taught me a lot about starting a relationship, and I was really honored at the time to date him even though he was a year behind me! He also told me about Silva Mind Control which later I became a graduate and has helped me ever since. I'm so sorry for your loss, but I know his warm spirit will live in all our memories. Take care Ona, Patty Ross

Dear Pizel Family,
I am so very sorry. You lost a great son, brother and uncle, and we all lost a great friend. Roger was my favorite bowling buddy, and that rafting trip was the best day.
Sending you love,
Margaret

Roger,
I hope this reaches you in heaven. We love you and Chance is safe and sound in my back yard. He loves running around since we had a major portion fenced in. Everything is being handled so just rest in peace. Tell Daddy and Uncle Buby we said hello. Grandma Piszel too. Love, Ona, Ed, Billy and Marianne Silvia
