Obituary of Roger Anthony Piszel

Roger Anthony Piszel of Hasbrouck Heights, NJ passed away at home on Saturday, April 9, 2016. He was 58. Roger was born on June 11, 1957 in Los Angeles, Ca. to Biruta (Kudirka) and the late Geza Piszel. He was employed by Techniserve in Hasbrouck Heights where worked as consultant and also as a Vice President. Roger resided in Hasbrouck Heights, NJ for many years. He was inducted into the baseball Hall of Fame at St. Mary's High School in Rutherford, NJ in 2012. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and spending time with his faithful Doberman, Chance. His sister Ona and her family are taking him since they know that is what Roger would have wanted. Roger is survived by his beloved mother, Biruta, his sister, Ona Silvia and her husband, Ed, nephew William Silvia, niece Marianne Silvia and his faithful canine companion, Chance and many dear friends. He was pre-deceased by his father, Geza in 2000. Roger’s Life Celebration will include a memorial mass to be held at Our Lady of the Lake RC Church, 8 Windermere Avenue in Mt. Arlington, NJ on April 30th at 10:30 am. There will be a repast at the Jefferson House in Jefferson NJ and all are invited. All services have been entrusted to the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home of Landing, NJ.
