I am so sorry for your loss. Something that has comforted me is at Isaiah 25:8 that says God "will swallow up death forever" and "wipe away the tears from all faces". How I do look forward to that. I hope that thought brings you some comfort.

I had Mrs. Takacs for G&T and she is by far one of the teachers I will never forget. She was constantly kind, encouraging, and fun. Classes with her are among my favorite school memories. I hope she knew the impact she had on countless students, and continued to have as we grew into adults and remembered her kindness. She will be greatly missed, and my prayers and condolences go out to her family.

I've known Mary since before her wedding day to Joe on June 21, 1947. In fact my brother and I were alter servers at the ceremony. Since then, my wife and daughters have been like family to the Takacs family and have shared many, many fond memories. We've laughed and cried together many times over the years and because of it our friendship has grown stronger over these many years. Mary has always been the kindest and most loving person I've ever known and she will be sorely missed by me and my family. Mary, we will love you and will miss you always. God bless you in heaven and say hi to uncle Joe for us. Pray for us.

Mary Takacs was not just a wonderful and sweet lady. Her love for her students allowed their self confidence to soar, as she brought out their individual gifts. My son, Joshua, would come home with his "Mrs. Takacs says" words of wisdom, eager to share some new fact about ancient Egypt or the planets.

My absolute favorite teacher that I ever had. She inspired me in so many ways to be creative and open minded. She encouraged curiosity so much and really showed me that those eccentric ways that I had as a kid were special.
