Obituary of Richard Hirschfeld

Richard Edward Hirschfeld of New York, NY passed away Tuesday April 11, 2017 at Mt. Sinai Beth Israel Hospital East, New York, NY. He was 63. Born in Teaneck, he grew up in Dumont, moving to New York NY 25 years ago. An actor, Richard enjoyed reading, gardening, cooking, drinking, water-skiing and bike riding down the West Side of New York City. A member of SAG/AFTRA actors union, he was jovial, quick witted, fun and was the center of attention and the life of the party. Beloved son of the late Arthur R. and the late Mary Leone (Winslow) Hirschfeld. Cherished brother of Arthur W. Hirschfeld and Jane Coggin and William G. Hirschfeld and his wife Lisa. Dear Uncle of Arthur Willis Hirschfeld and his wife Billi McNary, Kristin Hirschfeld and her husband Greg Thierren, Betsey Bell and her husband Rechaud and Derrik Hirschfeld and his wife Lauren. Loving great uncle of Julia, Johannah, Britton, Hanson and Harper. Loving nephew of Joyce Ondish and stepbrother of Kathy Driscoll, Brian Costleigh, Debbie Costleigh and Scott Costleigh. Dear cousin of Bob Ondish and John Ondish. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Richard's Life Celebration on Friday April 14 from 3:00PM to 7:00PM at the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing. A Prayer Service will begin at 6:30PM. Cremation will be private.
