Obituary of Agnes C. Orr

Agnes C. Orr of Hopatcong, NJ passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Orr was born on April 10, 1924 in Liverpool, England to the late Thomas and the late Helen (Greenup) Connor. Mrs. Orr was a member of the Rosary Altar Society and a longtime parishioner of St. Jude's RC Church in Hopatcong, she was an active member in the Hopatcong Seniors and the Hopatcong Woman's Club but most importantly, she cherished spending time with her family. Agnes married her husband, Robert Wayne Orr, an American Airman, in 1945 during WWII in Liverpool, England, came to the United States in 1946 and resided in Hopatcong for the past 54 years. Mrs. Orr was an analyst at NJ Bell in Madison, NJ for many years before retiring and she enjoyed playing golf, bowling and traveling. Agnes is survived by her daughters, Mary Alicia Aikens and husband, Robert and Valerie E. Orr, her son, Captain William T. Orr and wife, Joann, her cherished grandchildren, Jacob Rudnicky and wife, Dana, Laura Randour and husband, Lawrence, Robert W. Aikens and Robert Connor Orr, three great grandchildren, Mitchell, Ryker and Greyson Rudnicky and several nieces, nephews and dear friends. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Robert Wayne Orr in 1989 and her grandson, James E. Orr in 1988 Agnes's Life Celebration will include visitation on Thursday, May 10th from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. There will be a funeral mass on Friday, May 11th at 10:00 am at St. Jude RC Church, 40 Maxim Drive in Hopatcong, NJ. Agnes will be laid to rest at the Stanhope Union Cemetery in Mt. Olive Twp., NJ immediately following the funeral mass. All services are entrusted to the Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home of Landing, NJ.
