Obituary of John "Jack" Varian, Jr.
John "Jack" Varian, Jr., 81, of Byram Township, NJ passed away, peacefully, on Friday August 24th at Barn Hill Care Center in Newton.
Born on September 19, 1936 in Perth Amboy, NJ, Jack has resided in Byram Township since 1962. He served proudly in the United States Marine Corps. Jack earned a bachelor's degree from Seton Hall University. He was a longtime coach for various Byram Sports organizations and a member of the Cranberry Lake Community Club.
Survivors include two sons, Kevin and Ken, two daughters in law, Sherry and Connie and three grandsons, Tyler, Adam and Jack. Also surviving is his ex-wife, Catherine.
Jack's Life Celebration will include a Memorial Gathering on Friday August 31st from 3:00-7:00 PM at Leber-Lakeside Funeral Home, 150 Landing Road, Landing, NJ. Marine Corps honors will be offered at 6:30 PM Friday evening at the funeral home. Remaining services are private.
