Obituary of Dennis Frederick Corbett

Dennis F. Corbett of Landing, NJ passed away on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at Morristown Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was 70 years old. Dennis was born on September 19, 1947 in Newark, NJ to the late Oliver F. and the late Marylyn (Hanson) Corbett. Dennis was a purchasing agent and worked at Willis & Paul Engineering in Mt. Arlington for many years before retiring. He enjoyed baseball, football and politics. Dennis proudly served his country in the United States Airforce from 1966 to 1970. He lived in Landing for 46 years. Dennis is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Gail (Lavery), his sons, Adam and Darryl, and his cherished grandchildren Kayla, Zachary, Miranda, Blake and Mason. Additional survivors include his sisters, Doreen Smith and Lynn O'Brien, his brother, Michael, Sister in law Linda Lapiejko and many cousins, nieces, nephews and dear friends. Dennis's Life Celebration will include a Memorial Gathering on Sunday, September 23 from 1:00pm to 5:00pm with a "Sharing of Words" offered at 4:30pm.
